Non-Discrimination Policy

The Hunterdon County Transportation System is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from, or denied the benefits of our services on the basis of race, color, or national origin as protected by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended. Any person who believes that they have, individually, or as a member of any specific class of persons, been subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin, may file a complaint in writing to The Hunterdon County Department of Human Services. To file a complaint, or for more information on Hunterdon County Transportation obligations under Title VI write to: ADA Coordinator, PO Box 2900, Flemington, NJ 08822 or visit Hunterdon.nj.us a complaint must be filed within 30 days.  Transportation services provided by this agency are in whole or part funded through federal funds received through NJ TRANSIT and as an individual you also have the right to file your complaint under Title VI to NJ TRANSIT by writing to: New Jersey Transit Customer Service – Title VI Division, One Penn Plaza East, Newark, NJ 07105 or visit njtransit.com/diversity.  A complaint must be filed within 180 days of the alleged discrimination.

When scheduling a trip, Central Dispatch personnel may ask if you have any of the following special needs. Please be advised that your responses will have no bearing on your ability to obtain a ride.

  1. Do you have any special medical needs?
  2. Will you be boarding with any of the following?
    • Mobility devices—manual/ electric
    • Child Safety Seat? (Will you need a child safety seat provided?)
    • Service Animal, Personal Aide or Escort
    • Walker/Cane
    • Portable Oxygen Tank
    • Bicycle
    • Other
  3. Are you: Visually impaired? Hearing impaired?
